Ready to take the next step in your photography? Want to discover new photo spots and maximize your time in the field? Book a workshop with me. I offer photography workshops to the Palouse, Mount Rainier National Park, and Grand Tetons National Park to all levels of photographers, from beginners to pros.
Joe is a consummate professional photographer, artist and guide. He showed us all around the best photography spots on Mt. Rainier and helped me to find my voice as a landscape photographer. His character and integrity are beyond reproach, and I would not hesitate to recommend Joe to anyone interested in photographing not only Mt Rainier but many spots in the Pacific Northwest!

My workshops are private and customizable, suited to individuals or small groups. Each workshop is tailored to your special interests and desires. Want in-depth instruction, we can emphasize that. Don’t need instruction but just want to go to the best spots at the best time of day, I’ll take you there.
Workshop prices are flat fee basis per day for groups of 1 to 4 people, typically costing between $1100 and $1500 per day depending on location and number of days. See the specific workshop destination pages for more details.
Why pick me for your workshop leader when there are so many other choices available?
- I only lead workshops to places I know well. I’ve literally written the photography guides to the Palouse, Rainier and the Tetons on Photohound.co. I live near the Palouse area, within a few hours drive if Mount Rainier, and frequently visit the Tetons.
- Each workshop is individually planned and tailored to meet the needs of the individual or small group.
- Most workshops can be arranged on a short notice (days instead of months).
- For small groups, my private workshops are more affordable on a per photographer basis than more traditional, non-private workshops.
When the weather didn’t cooperate, Joe always had a great backup plan. I’ve been on many workshops and Joe is the best leader I have ever had. Thanks for a great trip.
