Walla Walla +288 is a stunning visual exploration of the Pacific Northwest by award-winning photographer Joe Becker of Seldom Seen Photography. Featuring over 50 breathtaking images captured within a 288-mile radius of Walla Walla, this collection celebrates the extraordinary beauty and diverse landscapes of the region. From the rolling wheat fields of the Palouse to the glaciated volcanoes of the Cascades, from waterfalls to sand dunes and red rock to red barns, Becker’s work masterfully captures the geographic and ecological diversity of the Pacific Northwest in all its moods and seasons.
At the heart of this collection is Walla Walla, a place that sits near the geographic center of the Pacific Northwest. From here, one can travel in any direction and, within a day’s drive, reach some of the most spectacular scenery the region has to offer. Every photograph in this exhibition was taken within that range, showcasing the incredible variety of landscapes that surround the Walla Walla valley.

A native of Spokane, Joe has spent a lifetime immersed in the landscapes he photographs. After living for years in the Puget Sound region before recently making Walla Walla his home, he brings a deep personal connection and a keen artistic eye to the places he explores. His photography, recognized with both local and international awards, showcases not only grand vistas but also intimate, lesser-seen moments of both the natural and man-made world.
Through this collection, Joe invites visitors to embark on a journey—one that highlights the beauty and diversity of the Pacific Northwest. For either a longtime Walla Walla valley resident or a first-time visitor, these images will inspire the viewer to see the region in a new and profound way.
